The Black Robe Regiment was the name given by the British to the Pastors that left their pulpits to fight in the revolutionary war. The Pastors of the Colonial era were leaders of their communities who understood that being Christian was more than just a visit to church each Sunday, but required conviction that at times meant going to war.
